The BRN-180 line of bufferless upper receivers was designed to mimic the original AR-180/AR-18 with it's right-side offset and reciprocating charging handle. While some may appreciate the period-correct look and function of the charging handle, a lot of people prefer a more modern option. A3 Industries has come up with various options to meet this demand.
If you don't mind a reciprocating charging handle but just prefer a nicer handle to grab, A3 Industries offers two optional handles. Simple 10 minute upgrade.
