It did not help with my application, aluminum hand guard. This is made more for the two piece plastic hand guard with slip spring. Pros: Made tough Cons: Very specific to certain hand guards

DPMS 308 upper and I did not want to go fancy on this build and opted to keep stock hand guard. It takes a little twisting to figure it out and it's simple it fits and it goes well with the UTG rifle butt stock and sling. Nice price cant complain.
