Why does this image look like a castle nut? Shouldn't there be a port for the gas tube? Unless it's slim and gas tube is free floating. Expert Answer

The Aero Precision M4E1 / C.O.P. Barrel Nut is specifically designed for use with the Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receivers. It will not work with a standard upper receiver.
