The latch would not fit a standard mil spec charging handle without modification. It is much thicker than the original latch. The good part is the material is much stronger since it is made of steel. Just don’t expect to swap out the part easily.

The AIM Sports Aluminum Tactical Latch is compatible with AR-15, M16 & AR10 style rifles and extends 20.4 MM from the charging handle.
