Boilable, freezable, and microwavable Polyester/Pelastic Laminated Pouch - Polyester pouches combine tensile strength heat seals and superior barrier properties. They may be microwaved or boild for sterilization. However, they will not sustain temperatures over 56C (70 F). The materials used to make up the barrier provide several times more puncture resistance than the pouches offered as a cost effective alternative to forming films and epoxy resins. Compared to a wax, the barrier properties of these pouches are better at preventing liquids from leaking out. Additionally, blockage of vapors and gases are significantly reduced due to the vapor pressure within the pouch. This feature makes it a suitable product for use in an autoclave.
