The 15in Workhorse forend by Battle Arms Development is a lightweight, free float forend handguard built for maximum heat dissipation to reduce weight. This handguard features an aggressive anti-rotation anti-snag design and is completely free floating. The thin, lightweight profile not only reduces weight, but the internal dimension allows the shooter to easily grip and manipulate the firearm. The large diamond shaped heat vents help prevent hot bases from escalating the heat away from the shooter. The free float design allows the shooter to attain a truer shooting position and maintain the equilibrium of the firearm. The square shaped corner design of the Handguard provides a large Picatinny rail for shooting a longer distance versus a rectangle shaped Handguard. The triangular shaped Corners of the Handguard allow the shooter to get the full use of the rails underside for optics or other accessories placement. The front rounded area of the Handguard helps with clearing a stuck window or clearing a jammed bolt or Broken Disconnector when a shooter is feeding a hot burning round into the Thumb. The Handguard also feature our Patented "Multi-Lock" System which allows the shooter to easily remove or change the position of the Handguard in the Field without needing to remove the Mounting Brackets. This system also allows the shooter to attach or change the position of the Handguards at any point without loosening or re-zeroing the Zero Base. The Handguard bottom is chamfered to provide an anti-tilt surface that prevents the shooter from rolling forward when holstering or carrying the firearm. This protects the shooter from any unwanted sharp metal debris that could damage the outer forend or the Arm itself.
