is the 5.7x28mm40 grain hornady v-max brass cased centerfire rifle ammuntion hollow point

Not exactly, it has similar characteristics of a hollow point but it goes about it differently. The hard plastic V-Max tip acts like a wedge and it spreads the lead core whenever it impacts a target. However, I may be wrong about these in particular, I ordered 300 rounds back in February but they haven't been crafted yet. They could have some rare earth minerals and black magic that make these even more accurate and ten times as powerful as the 40gr V-Max I've acquired through my Bud Hickok45's Shop. I'll update my answer if my findings are different than above. Best of luck in your search, make sure you grab a gun that works and shoot straight.
