With HEVI Metal Longer Range shot shells, HEVI-Shot made their best product even better. The HEVI Metal load contains a new refined mix of bismuth pellets that are 16 percent denser than their premium Heavier Than Steel alloy. This innovation allows them to construct 20 Gauge Ammo with smaller pellets that can travel a greater distance while still delivering killing power.
The HEVI-Metal 20 gauge shot shell is 3 inches long with a 1-ounce charge weight. It's also available in a variety of shot sizes. Inside the shell, you'll find 9.6 grams per cubic centimeter of bismuth pellets layered over 7.8 g/cc of steel. On paper, the 20 gauge Longer Range load delivers a velocity of 1,350 feet per second.
