What will happen if I shoot a 5.56 or a 7.62x39 round at this?

Nothing will happen as long as you are following the distance guidelines. When shooting any round exceeding 3,000 FPS, the minimum distance is 200 yards.

how far does it have to be for a 30-06. current target was destroyed by 30-06 at 100 yards.

200 yards for any caliber reaching or exceeding 3,000 FPS.

These are designed for 9mm to 30.06 caliber rounds.
