The dial on the right side of the scope is for the illumination only, no side focus. It is a 100yd fixed parallax.

Does the dot only light up on this scope and is this a good low light scope

Only the center dot of the reticle is illuminated. The Wide Angle optical system and 11-layer fully-multi-coated lenses combine to provide excellent image quality with extraordinary field of view and maximum light transmission in any lighting conditions.

I own Trigicon and Lepould and Vortex Vipers costing 3 to 4 times the price of these scopes I put the this scope on a Browning White Gold 7MM Mag and it’s clear as any Scope I own is very good in low light I just ordered another one you will not be disappointed
