Will these scopes withstand the recoil of a 460 mag pistol

A
Answered by Cappy, guest, from FL, United States, on September 21, 2025

The photo that Leapers uses on their own website to advertise this scope is a Smith and Wesson 460 magnum. I would assume that means the answer is yes. I am about to find out because I just bought one for my SW 460 magnum.

Unfortunately Leapers does not sell the replacement lens caps for that scope separately. You would have to measure the exterior diameter of both ends of the scope, and then find the corresponding size for the objective side here: https://www.opticsplanet.com/butler-creek-flip-open-scope-covers.html and for the eyepiece side here: https://www.opticsplanet.com/butler-creek-eyepiece-flip-open-scope-covers.html. Make sure to get the one closest in size without being larger, as they stretch a bit and could be too loose if you go larger.
