If you have a VX-3i 6.5-20x50 that is threaded for the sunshades and flip caps, you will use MPN: 62995.

Vari-X 3i and VX-3i are not the same scope. Vari-X is an older model scope and is not threaded for flip caps. I own a Vari-X 3.5-10x40 and coincidentally just spoke with a Leupold tech support person about flip caps for this scope today. He told me the threading you see in both the objective and eyepiece ends of the scope were part of the manufacturing process. They are cut too deep in the scope and are not the right thread pitch for Leupold Alumina flip caps. MPN 62995 only fits 50mm scopes made after 2004. Check your scope serial number for manufacture date at leupold
