I got this AGM NVG-50 about 3 weeks ago and I'm absolutely amazed with the performance and quality. I could see clearly in detail in nearly pitch black conditions with star lights or no moon at all on a few hundred yards away. I was able to see beavers swimming in a pond basically in pitch black conditions. I was skeptical on spending this much money on my first NOD. Even my friend who was recently discharged from the Army was on duty doing night missions was pretty impressed. The white phosphor is the way to go if the budget allows it. I like the feature on this unit that it can use cr123 or AA batteries. I have no regrets on this purchase.
