I was weary when I read some reviews but I bough this case and I like this case. So much better than the plastic one my shotgun came with. I like it even more since it's a little smaller than the plastic case. Nice clips secure the case closed. Separating the forearm piece from the barrel just means it gets half the wear and tear on the barrel. My 682 Gold fits well with it's 30" barrel fits well.
