BSA Optics 2.5-8x36 Tactical Weapon Scope TW2.5-8X36
I was looking for a compact, lightweight mil-dot scope for a Ruger M96 44 Magnum. I found it! The BSA TW2.5-8x36 fit all my requirements except for length (similar to most standard 3x9's). Optics are good enough for my needs. The cool, gotta have it thing about the scope are the turrets - similar to Nightforce. Pull the turret up, make an adjustment. Push the turret down, note the marking, and your done; no tools and no lost turret caps. It begs to be put on a .22 and with the price that low, I may have to get another one.

Great value for a relatively short-range scope
PLEASE note: this scope comes with a set of mounts (it's not mentioned anywhere, so I ended up buying a set of mounts 'just in case' and have an extra set now.) Something to keep in mind.
Pros: Extremely high quality, very clear glass, solid construction, easy to setup and use, exterior finish is great.
Cons: Magnification is shy for longer-range use, interior construction/glue/etc is visible - in other words 'finish' isn't perfect for internals
