I finally had a chance to use this under fair/good skies. It gave an incredible view with an 8.8mm eyepiece which gave about 115x I only looked at Venus and Saturn. Phase of Venus could be seen and Saturn was great looking with rings visible and four pinpoint moons. Rings A and B had a clear division and I could see banding across the surface of the planet! so awesome. I put an Orion RACI 9x50, 2 inch diagonal, and a half pound eyepiece and it dampens down in about three seconds so mount is great even with about 14 pounds of total weight.
