Crimson trace for xd40 tactical - Crimson Trace Laser Grip for Springfield Armory XD9 and XD40

I bought a Crimson Trace laser grip for my Springfield Armory XD 40 Tactical. My only goal was to have quick and accurate target acquisition in low/no light without detracting from the existing qualities of the weapon.

I was concerned the wonderful grip angle and feel of the XD would be compromised by the addition of the laser and if firing it would affect the windage/elevation of the beam. I also wondered how visible the red laser would be in medium/full sunlight. I also hoped the system wouldn't be too difficult to get used to so that I wouldn't have to completely retrain myself to properly use the weapon I carry every day and am intimately familiar with.

I am pleased to say that after rapid firing more than 200 rounds the laser's point of aim is exactly where it started. It is also surprisingly bright, even in full sunlight at defensive distances which is better than expected. The half a second I can save by not acquiring sight picture and alignment in daytime defensive situations could save mine or someone else's live one day.

Everything from the box it came in to the paper work, tools, and of course the laser sight itself was of obvious quality. I expected a high level of quality out of a company with the reputation that Crimson Trace has, but what I didn't expect was how it took what I thought to be a perfectly designed grip on the SA XD 40 Tactical and made it BETTER. Not just a little better, but infinitely better! It feels much more comfortable, which I didn't think was possible. It stays more secure in my hand while firing which makes it more accurate and more safe. It operates with no thought or need for extra training and it just happens to look AWESOME on the weapon! It is very obvious that the design and build of this product was carefully considered and done with customer satisfaction in mind.

The Crimson Trace I purchased was worth every cent I paid for it...(in fact I'd pay much more for it, but don't tell the dealers I said so). Great job Crimson Trace. I didn't think I could love my gun more but you found a way! keep it up!
