The MC's Review of Geissele Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group (BCG), 5.56mm, Nanoweapon

After further consideration, I'd say this one is dedinitely worth it if you understand what you're getting and you have the cash to spend.

Pros - In spec, super slick, properly staked, wonder metals, full mass
Cons - Expensive

This has seen like in four different barrels stainless steel, CHF, hand lapped, 5.56 and .223 Wylde. All fired without a hitch. Unfortunately, all of these barrels claim to be properly gassed, so no real way to say how much of a beating they can take from round to round, except. The Super Duty products feature this BCG as well and I would say that they seems over gassed as in over gassed, maybe it's due to the lubricity of this bolt. You can run an H3 with the Super 42 Spring in an 11.5 without a can and get more than positive ejection. In a 16 inch they clean up nice and easy. In an 11.5, they seem like any other non phosphate BCG.

So, why is it worth it? Well, you'll have to take Gs word for it that all of these wonder metals are what they say they are. If so, they'll last as long as G says they will. It's definitely as smooth and non abrasive as they say they are. So, you would be getting a super slick, super hi-tek wonder BCG that will probably outlast you. If that's important to you. This is worth it. If not, and a nitride BCG is good enough, then it's not worth it, not even close.

In my experience, albeit, limited, I can't say I've noticed a meaningful difference between this and and a nitride BCG. I actually think the nitride might be a little more consistently smooth. You can't go wrong with this, but I'd you're a high volume shooter, then yeah maybe, but at full price you can get like three solid BCGs. This does not appear to be enhanced in any way that makes suppressed shooting any better like a Lantac. So thats unfortunate.
