I recently purchased the Leapers red/green dot scope, and the circle with the dot in the middle, in red or green mode, is so intensly bright, even on the lowest setting - it is virtually unusable indoors or outside at night or in low light. I bought it mainly for close quarter, but can't be used in the house without blinding yourself - dissapointed on that note. I took it to the range on the otherhand, and in bright daylight was able to group fairly well at paper targets from fifty yards after initial zeroing in. Looks nice on my tricked out Chi/Com SKS and holds zero so far. Maybe I'll get a laser for SHTF Zombie indoor applications... I csn recommend only if you are going to use this scope in outdoor daytime situations.
Pros: does well in plenty of light - holds zero so far with about 100 rounds shot - fairly accurate at 50 yards (Only tested at 25yrds and 50yrds and did fine)
Cons: The illuminated red or green reticle (center dot surrounded by a full circle) is so intensely bright that the scope can only be used in bright light conditions. It is so blindingly bright that you can't even get a sight picture in low light.
