This is the third scope mount I tried on my M1A. And it's the only one that works. I practice a lot and the Springfield Gen 1 and Gen 2 mounts shot loose. There is lots of adjustment in the base so you can center the scope and use the mount to practically zero the scope. Be sure to lock-tight the screws. After 3 competitions and several hundred pratice round the mount is still tight. Only down side is you can't use the iron sights with this mount.
