I bought this for my VR80 12 gauge shot gun. Most other A2 style grips will leave a gap between the frame of the shotgun and the handle. This is on a part of the frame that has a 90 degree angle and is very sharp. Add the recoil of a 12 gauge and you have a recipe for pain. The Chubby Grip solves this problem. It is slightly larger in every aspect and really mates up well to the VR80. It is also very comfortable to hold. Having large hands I usually feel like AR grips are too small but the size and ergonomics of this grip is perfect for me. It adds a higher degree of control to your weapon platform as well with the thumb ledge and the flare at the bottom of the handle. They probably named it the chubby, not because of the size of the grip, but for what it will do to you!
