Most Helpful Negative Review No Backpacker Friendly
This tent is well made and has all the features you could ask for but it does not pack down very small. In a 55L pack it takes up about 2/3 of the pack. However, it sets up very easy and is surprisingly roomy for a 2 person tent.

Gerat value

by Chris, from IL, United States Written on April 25, 2017
This tent has been a great value. It is very easy to set up and take down. The mesh has been great for warm starry nights, while the rain cover has done well in rain. Have only taken it out a few times but am anxious to keep it up!

Too Big For Backpacking

by Patrick, from GA, United States Written on April 1, 2017
This is well made, high quality tent. The tent has all the features you could ask for and comes in at a great price. The materials they used are of good quality which makes setup and breeze. You don't have to worry about snapping a pole or breaking a zipper. However, I bought this tent with the mindset of using it for backpacking but it is way too big. In a 55L pack it takes up about 2/3 of the pack. It does not pack down small at all.

Buffalo River Float

by Rick, from AR, United States Written on October 31, 2016
Bought this tent to replace a smaller tent that was get along in age. The Morrison 2 was easy to set up due to the clips from tent to poles. Much more room than my previous tent. Spent 4 days floating the Buffalo River in Arkansas and it rained on us the first night. Tent kept me very dry, thanks to the full coverage rain fly. My only negative was there seemed to be a lot of condensation on the inside of the fly. It might just be because of the humidity. Other than that this is a great tent.

Good Value

by godeep, from ID, United States Written on August 11, 2016
I have had Wenger, Coleman, and Eureka tents in the past. The quality of this Mountainsmith Conifer 5 surpasses them. Poles seem very durable and tent fabric is of high quality. I like the design...it's a big boy! Lots of room...5 adults would be a stretch though. Simple to setup.
