The Nikon name has always been good in my opinion for optical glass. These binoculars are a little on the heavy side for field use but I am using them for range spotting and they work well. The tripod adapter makes it easy to stay on target for spotting and the zoom makes it easy to see the shot. They have a sturdy case and appear to be well made. The lens covers could be better but do the job. Overall they work for me.

- good optics
- good clarity
- Easy focus
- Zoom in or out very smooth
Cons:
- little heavy
