I bought this to top a Marlin 375 for use as a black bear rifle. I bought it based on Nikon's reputation for bright, clear optics and this scope does not disappoint. This scope has crisp adjustments and for it's size, is very bright, and should make a decent scope to use at dusk. I would have liked a lit dot at the center of the crosshair but this is not available. This is a great compact scope for short to medium range use.
