I bought this scope with the intention of mounting it on my AR15 platform. I liked it fine on my AR but then decided that I would rather have a more powerful and a more long range scope. I mounted this scope on a Ruger 10/22 takedown model. It fits great and I was able to zero the scope at 50 yards with very little effort. I haven't tried it out past 50 yards because any further is a bit of a stretch for a rimfire round. I wasn't concerned with the BDC and it software. I intend to order the 4X9X40 scope for my AR and leave this on the Ruger 10/220.
