Legacy Reviewer's Review of Nikon ProStaff 5 12x50mm Roof Prism Binocular
This was my first set of roof prism binoculars and I do not have anything other them porro prism binoculars to compare them to. I'm a big fan of Nikon binoculars and wanted something a little more powerfull, so I tried these and was not wowed. after doing some more reserch I found that lower to mid range porro prism binoculars will in most cases outperform roof prism binoculars in the same price range. The conclusion I came to is stay with porro prism binoculars if they're under $400.
Pros: Lightweight, good price for Nikon roof prism 12x50's
Cons: pinched nose, had a purple tint, just wasn't as clear as I expected
