Nice brass - Norma 6mm XC Unprimed Rifle Brass

David Tubb's wonderful and somewhat ground-breaking 6mm XC has been largely pushed out of the picture by newer cartridges, such as the extremely similar 6mm Creedmoor, so the brass is not widely produced. But the cartridge just seems more ideally proportioned to me; I like its slightly longer neck and I think it is the best compromise between too much much powder capacity for efficiency on one hand and too little length for smooth feeding from standard magazines on the other. No point in going smaller and trying the bad-feeding 6mm BR or dubious-feeding 6mm GT, because I'm already tinkering with the little 24 Nosler and its derivatives. Yeah, I like oddballs.

I've also got some Peterson brass on the way from David Tubb himself, but was glad to get this Norma brass from Optics Planet at a very good price. Time will tell which is better, but Norma brass never disappoints. What I received looks good, no damage or defects, and measures good on the bench. Very uniform. I can't really give a useful review beyond that, at this time.
