Gus's Review of Precision Reflex Galil Mounts

So I was worried at first with all the reviews saying the hole that allows you to still use your irons doesn’t line up, but this is about the only mounting option out there that even has that so I gave it a shot. Mine turned out to work. It’s not perfectly aligned, but it’s good enough that you can aim with your irons just fine. So far I’ve got through about 100 rounds with it over multiple days of stowing it and bumping it against stuff and it’s kept zero. The only thing that sucks, which has been mentioned, is that you can no longer charge the gun over the top & since the charging handle is curved upwards, you will likely scrape your knuckles on the mount. I don’t count this as a design flaw because I don’t see any way around that if you want to have a scope attached besides possibly buying or making an aftermarket charging handle that sticks out perpendicular and charge it like an AK. I may do this just to install when I plan on shooting it.
Pros:
  • Holds zero
  • Allows for useable irons
Cons:
  • Knuckle scrape when charging
  • Can no longer charge from top
Best Used for:
  • Scope mount
