Safety risk - very poor quality control - Rise Armament Stinger Handguard

I was on the bubble about purchasing the Rise Armament RA-902 Stinger handguard given previous unfavorable reviews. A handguard that cannot be properly secured is a major safety risk. However, when I contacted Rise Armament customer service, they confirmed this was a known issue, but stated it had been resolved in the gen 2 version. They offered assurances that should I have any issues, they'd address it through the warranty process. It's surprising they haven't issued a recall for the faulty handguard. Unfortunately, the Rise Armament handguard that was shipped to me was also faulty. It literally flops around loosely on the barrel nut. I attempted to reach Rise Armament's Sales Team, Customer Service, and Help Desk, but none of them responded to multiple requests for assistance. I'm returning the RA-902 Stinger to Optics Planet. In the interest of safety, the manufacturer which has acknowledged this issue in writing, should pull these 1st gen versions from the distributors inventories.
