Honest review - SB Tactical AR Pistol Buffer Tube

I purchased this product to be used in conjunction with a SB Tactical Pistol Brace. It would seem to be a no brainer to use the same brand buffer tube as pistol brace, however there were some issues. 1. The tube is overweight. It is so heavy that it is kind of ridiculous. You will notice that it is Much heavier than a standard mil-spec carbine buffer tube. The extra weight is not necessary for function or safety and only serves to weigh the operator down. 2. There is no drain hole in the rear of the buffer tube. The lack of a drain hole causes multiple issues. First, water can not drain to the rear of the buffer tube during operation as the gun was designed to do if it was ever submerged, this might cause malfunctions in marine environments. Second, the lack of the drain hole causes air to be compressed in the buffer tube during operation which can also cause reliability issues. 3. The OD (outside diameter) of the tube is not wide enough. The SB Tactical Brace I purchased brand new, would not fit this buffer tube without fitting so loosely I could just pull it off with one hand and it would rotate freely 360 degrees on the buffer tube making aiming with one arm unpractical due to the entire gun rotating sloppily left or right because of the loose fitting pistol brace.

Conclusion: I do not recommend this product. It is a fact that this pistol buffer tube is inferior to others on the market.
