I have a 1911 that is notorious for "failure to feed" with hollow point ammo. It only seems to like hardball. The smaller hollow cavity and more rounded taper to the projectile ogive seems to have solved this issue. The edge of the cavity is not catching on the feed ramp and it is feeding reliably. Well done Sig! Finally some hollow points that will feed reliably in my 1911!
Pros:
- 230 grain subsonic projectiles if you want to use a "can"
Cons:
- Normally cost prohibitive, but a good del if you catch them on sale.
Best Used for:
- Home defense and "one shot stoppers."
