Expert Review Great alternative to full size safe - Snapsafe, A Hornady Company Aux Under Bed Safes

I have held off on buying a full size safe since my residence has changed a few times and once I move/install a safe it is never going anywhere.

I was getting by with Stack On cabinets and some other locking cases/boxes but was always looking for an upgrade.

This is great because it is a healthy weight while still being able to relocate it if necessary (and can be bolted down to the floor).

Made of 16 gauge steel

Adequate space to hold a couple long guns, many pistols, or a combination of both.

Exterior dimensions: 28" deep, 48" wide, and 7" tall.
Storage drawer is 26.25" deep, 45.75" wide and 5" tall
3+ cubic feet of storage

The flat/drawer design allows it to be placed out of the way in ways traditional upright safes cannot.

This was a little too tall to fit under my bed and while I could have raised the legs of the bed frame, I choose to put the safe on the floor of my closet. Fits perfectly. I can close the doors without any interference and I can stack items on top of the safe without hindering my ability to get into it.

Only thing I would wish to improve is the rollers for the drawer. While they work fine, a little nicer system would ensure that they remain silent under heavy/full drawer loads.

But for the price, I am more than satisfied with this product.

I am already considering buying a second one to stack on top of the first.
