This is by far the most solid scope base for the SKS rifle and it also has a shell deflector.The only draw back and it may be a big one to you is the reloading of the rifle,witch you'll have to do one round at a time.As for me I have a 30 rd. mag but am thinking of putting the 10 rd. fixed box mag back in since with this scope mount it has made the rifle into a one shot one kill type gun instead of the spray and play.Get a nice scope for it if you go this far don't start getting cheap.This is on my Yugo,I have a Chinese paratrooper with the old type scope mount's.this is more accurate.
