Dawn Lamb's Review of Wilson Combat Beretta G10 Handgun Grips

This was my first order with OpticsPlanet, and it was AWESOME! The experience has been flawless, and their prices and rewards coupons are really fantastic. I look forward to shopping here again in the future. Onto my Wilson Combat grips review...

First off, this sale price was THE BEST on the internet, and I've been shopping around for a while. These grips are of very good quality and refined design. Wilson Combat makes exquisite firearms and accessories, and these grips are no different. I got the Black Cherry coloring, and they are very subtle in color tone. At first glance, they read as mostly black, but then you start to notice the subtle color variation. Classy. The texture is AGGRESSIVE (in my opinion), but you can soften them with 320 grit sandpaper (as per accompanying info card). I will likely try doing that. They come with 4 ring washers, but you must use the screws that are already on your original Beretta grips. You don't need to use your original washers (though, you probably could), since the WC washers worked just great. (I stored my original grips and washers in my old Beretta box, in case I ever want to sell it in its original condition.)

A FEMALE SHOOTER'S PERSPECTIVE: Yes, these grips are slimmer... no doubt. However, as someone with smaller hands (female), they are not the panacea that I was hoping for. I still need to off-set my hand slightly so that I can get a smooth trigger finger squeeze. Men have larger hands, so I think this little bit of difference is all that they need to have for a perfect grip. But for a woman, it's still a 92FS! LOL It's definitely an improvement that I can feel, but I will need to keep going with my modifications/upgrades. I'll be installing the WC hammer spring and perhaps the Ernest Langdon trigger job kit.

One thing worth mentioning: It seems that my magazines aren't inserting and releasing with the same ease as with the original Beretta grips. It's very slightly noticeable, but there does seem to be a bit of added friction or resistance.

I hope my review will be helpful to others, especially those with smaller hands.
