The sight picture is easy to aquire. The front sight's outer ring charges up in bright light and glows nicely in low light. In total darkness it is very easy to tell front and rear. I've been using XS for over 10 years. The standard height Big Dot version is the best for EDC w/o a red dot. Very fast setup. With a red dot, these are the best choice--perfect lower 1/3 co-witness in case you need irons.
The rear is press fit, not set screw. Standard install techniques worked fine. Just be aware of this before you buy. Front sight is a tiny screw just like the factory. They provide loctite to glue everything in place.
