Replaces factory tab ( my model did not come with a fixed front sight ). Nice design. A little bit expensive but is the best option for the Sig .556 with the dove tail grove.
Pros: Well designed. Tall enough to cowitness. Good fit.

This was a replacement for the solid iron site that came with my 556. The install was easy but the spring to flip up the sight is very tight, takes a two hand action. Must take awhile to loosen up.

Samson Quick Flip Folding Front Sights are an easy to use flip-up front rifle sight mount. These rifle scope mounts are made by Samson from 6061 aluminum, mil-spec hardcoat anodized for durability. All of the Samson gun sight mounts lock in both the deployed and folded positions. Each scope mount features a powerful spring mechanism that is quite durable and is completely concealed to prevent fouling from dirt. These flip-up scope mounts are a perfect match for Samson's line of rear sight mounts. Options include high visibility front sight posts.
