Will this base fit a Kimber Mountain ascent 300 Win Mag 8400 Expert Answer

It will depend on whether your Mountain Ascent model is an 8400 model or an 84L model. Current Mountain Ascent models are 84L models, in which case these will fit. I choose this Talley Picatinny Base to create a stable base for my optics as well as raise the 50 mm a 1/16” of an inch above the barrel. The machining of the rail was exact an the screws were correct for my Kimber 84L.

Product Info for Talley Picatinny Base for Kimber 84L

These picatinny rails are machined from solid bar-stock 7075 T6 alloy and then bead blasted for a rugged, lightweight and long lasting finish. The slots on the rails are designed to accommodate the Talley Rail Railmount adaptors for firearms with a Cheetah 84 trigger guard. As with all Talley products, this item requires machining of some kind to install, but with proper care and attention, your alterations will be hidden under the forearm. Please note, some fitting may be required. These rails do not clamp firmly to the frame, so please be careful to take proper care of your firearm. Whether you are a do-it-yourselfer or looking for help with a build, we want to make your shooting experience enjoyable.image
