I really didn't think there was going to be a difference between the 940 and 850. There is a big difference when it comes to animals being able to see the red light. I'm pleased with the results.
I use this IR light on my ATN X sight 5 for my hunts and up to 100-150 yards since this likely the range I most commonly shot the game in the area I hunt. In my personal opinion it works as is suppose too.
