Atomic Ammunitions 7.62x39 220gr subsonic ammo is tuned for suppressed AK-pattern rifles. This 220gr hollow point boat tail load is built for reliable semi-auto cycling, hard-hitting close-range performance, and quieter shooting than standard AK ammo.
The biggest challenge with subsonic 7.62x39 is cycling the AK gas system was designed for full-power ammunition. Atomic solves this with a carefully tuned powder charge and 220gr projectile that generates enough gas pressure to cycle the action while keeping velocity below the sound barrier. Combined with a suppressor, the 7.62x39 drops to hearing-safe levels (120-125 dB) without the supersonic crack. The 538 ft-lbs of energy makes this one of the hardest-hitting subsonic rifle rounds available effective for suppressed training, tactical scenarios, and close-range applications.
Loaded with components: new brass cases (not steel or lacquered reloadable), precision-weighed Hodgdon powder charges, and match-grade 220gr HP BT projectiles. Hand-inspected to ensure reliable cycling and consistent subsonic velocity.
