AVI-8 Hawker Hunter Watch Automatic Japan 3 Hands with Date and 24 Hours AV-4043-03

The Hawker Hunter AV-4043 joins the AVI-8 Squadron of pilot inspired timepieces with an exacting level of detail on this homage to the jet most famed for the introduction of the Royal Air Force to the Jet Age.

With the silhouette drawn from lines found from within the cockpit of the Hunter, the Solid 316 L Marine Grade stainless steel case is enduring and built to last. Fashioned with four individual screw the case draws immediate reference from the Hunter. The lugs are finely polished on the edge offering hand finished detailing synonymous with higher end watchmaking.

Underneath the sapphire coated hardened mineral lens, a multi-layered dial designed for depth and clarity reads of the minutes on the inside tension ring.

The zero and six hour indexes are enlarged and sit above the dial over a frame that frames the 24 hour subdial at the and runs over the lines of the a Hunter from the nose view with the triangular shaped split air-intakes referenced as hour markers at the 9 and 3 o'clock position.

Super luminous skeletonized hour and minute hands offer clarity and visibility while allowing for legibility across the watch face.

Powering the 4043 is a 21 jewel Miyota Japanese self-winding automatic movement which is visible through the opaque dial more strikingly through the exhibition see through caseback of the watch.

Measuring at 44 mm in diameter the case is nonetheless utterly wearable and straps to the wearer courtesy of a supply yet durable genuine leather strap with cut edge and tonal stitch detailing and the signature AVI-8 buckle to fasten.
