Applications range from determining volatile and suspended solids in samples to heat treating of small steel parts and performing ignition tests. These units feature a digital control with a thermocouple break protection. The refractory cement construction reduces the penetration of contaminants, extending the longevity of the heating elements. A insulated door with a convenient latching handle forms a useful shelf when open, and a door safety switch protects the operator by breaking power to the heating elements upon opening the door.
