The BD CultureSwab EZ System is medium-free, and does not allow for dilution of the specimen by dilution or contamination of the specimen by the transport media container during sample transport. The swabs feature an open-celled structure which allows for the release of organisms from their environment and protects them throughout the sample collection and transportation process. The caps for the transport tubes on this BD Medium-free Collection and Transport System have color-coded color coding for easy identification and a double-action seal prevents dried out or leaky samples for increased safety.
