Corning develops and refines a broad selection of cell culture surface technologies, including poly-Llysine cell cultureware that promotes a tight cell monolayer and encourages neurite outgrowth. Corning BioCoat Poly-Lysine Cellware is recommended for use in most assays that require adherence of the injected cell population. Corning separates the lysine molecule at the amino acid lysine and attaches it to the appropriate surface randomly, without regard to the sequence of amino acids. Corning Poly-Lysine Cellware has a uniform application of the surface treatment, across the entire platform. Corning Poly-Lysine Cellware prevents the migration of cells to the outer surface of plastic and metal surfaces. The uniformity of the surface treatment allows consistent performance from lot to lot. Corning Poly-Lysine Cellware is also stable for at least three months from date of shipment at 2 to 8C (36 to 46F).
