Flea Round-Bottom Tubes are made of extremely lightweight polystyrene that is free of lubricants, pigments or heavy processing aids. The borosilicate and barium glass bottoms provide a flat plating surface for maximum heat transfer, which results in the maximum optical, chemical and dimensional stability. Thumb-hole tubes feature a large, easily opened airtight screw cap that cannot get lost. Snap-sealed tubes are supplied with a black hem for easy and accurate lid selection. Polyethylene snap-caps feature a unique, two-position fit: loose for aerobic culturing, tight for sealing. Tubes are lot-numbered and dated.
