The 96-well HiTex* insert 96 well plate is a multi-well plate that has multiple bayonet ports designed to hold two 96-well tissue culture inserts side by side. The two-well inserts should be used together to fill one insert at a time. The lid should be placed on the insert after it has been filled because the two-well inserts and lid are what provide the homogeneity in the final step of the digestion procedure. HTS 96-well inserts should not be used to draw a needle through the lip of the well since the force applied will create a vacuum. These inserts should not be used to draw a needle through the nose cone because of the vacuum leak paths.
