Product Category Description:

The solubilized basement membrane is extracted from EHS mouse sarcoma, which is a tumor rich in extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. When warmed, the solution polymerizes to produce a biologically active matrix material resembling the mammalian cellular basement membrane. It is ideal for in vivo applications where a high protein concentration augments growth of tumors. The growth factor reduced (GFR) formulation (80094-330) is designed for applications where a more highly defined basement membrane is desired. The phenol-red free formulation (80094-328) is designed for fluorescence or other color detection applications. Both formulas contain Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium with 50µg/mL gentamycin. Volume: 10mL.
