I am not familiar with the M1 mount. How does it attach to a rifle with a rail ? Expert Answer

You could call the M1 Mount a beefed-up riflescope ring - you can wire it there:

It attaches in the same way a ring would attach, gripping the rail, and using a cross bolt to prevent movement.

I would put this product among the best pieces of mandatory gear any soldier,or hobby shooter. I would buy one for every weapon system I own that it could mount to if I had that kind of money. I got it zeroed and never had to aim again to hit targets...
