These polystyrene plates have a slightly raised lip allowing easy pipetting of fairly large volumes. Suitable for pipette tipping, inoculum, or other additions to keep the sample contained within the wells of 96-well plates. The deep well design allows for the use of agars and other media in vertical gradient makers. The 96-well deep plate has a lip on three sides, allowing for good visualization of the well contents, but allows for adequate drainage from the bottom. Because of this, samples can be taken without dilution. These plates can be used for plated assays, either on a rotamycin-containing platelet feeder, or on a soluble protein-deficient one.
