Bel-Art Biohazard disposal bags are used to isolate potentially contaminated objects from non-contaminated objects, and then seal the bag. For dual biohazard and toxic trade wastes, these specialized Bel-Art biohazard disposal bags are used instead of the recommended US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) containers. These heavy-duty Bel-Art Biohazard disposal bags are also used to isolate potentially contaminated objects from toxic chemicals, and then seal the bag. If the object is radioactive, place the used pipette handle into the insulated trash can liner of the can. After the bag has been contaminated, a "pass through" vent hole in the liner allows contaminated liquids to drain through the bag and into the trash can. The flexible polyethylene bag is ideal for most applications in the lab, including the safe disposal of used pipettes, Petri dishes, and cell culture flasks filled with drained slurries. These heavy duty bags are also steam autoclavable up to 135C (275F).image
