Bel-Art Biohazard Disposal Bag - These polyethylene-coated, polypropylene bags are used for the safe isolation and transportation of potentially infectious biological materials and specimens. Biohazard disposal bags are made of high-viscosity polyethylene that meets or exceeds the ASTM D1709-98 standard for disposal of potentially infectious material in an unencapsulated form. The bags are gamma-sterilized and have an added feature of Dart impact resistance testing, meeting or exceeding the Dart impact resistance test requirement of 165g per ASTM D1709-98 and the ASTM 1922 Tear Resistance Tests. They are also high temperature steam autoclavable to 135C (275F). Certain sizes have barcoding and the capacity to identify samples with the droppers. Other enhancements include a sterilization indicator patch on the back of the bag and the option of Dart welded sealing rings on the top and/or side of the bag.
